Weddings & Couples

Josie & Neilson - Engagement

I love working with couples who dont take things to seriously.  Josie and Neilson are definitely that type of couple.  Admitting constantly that they weren't models and had no idea how to pose, it was a fun session of just letting them be them (with a bit of guidance on my part).  Here are a few shots before their wedding, which is fast approaching!

Lauren & Dan

While my wedding in Banff back in February was technically the first wedding of 2015, Lauren and Dan's wedding a few weeks ago was the first of the wedding season this summer.   It was a very rainy day, and while that's not an ideal way to start off the season, I always love getting some shots out in the rain as everything starts to shine and have some great contrast.

The journey with Aaron, through our engagement, wedding and baby shots was a breeze. It was an easygoing, relaxed environment, where Dan and I could just be ourselves and enjoy the moment. Aaron has a very intuitive eye and is able to capture a moment without being overly instructive and in your face. The great thing about working with Aaron is that you never feel rushed or like he has somewhere else to be. He is totally focused on the session, and his goal is to get the best shots possible. We enjoyed working with Aaron and would recommend him to anyone looking for some great photos for their special occasions!

So not only was it the first summer wedding, but it was also my first time observing and shooting a Jewish ceremony.  I'm not usually one to comment on ceremonies, but I remember this one seemed particularly heartfelt; in its words and its traditions.  While the day just seemed to fly by, we definitely had time to stop at a few nice places around the Eaton Chelsea for some nice shots.  Cap off the day with one of the craziest dances I've ever seen, and it was a memorable day for sure.  Here are some of my favorites...

Katie & Gary - Engagement

A quick engagement session one morning in Barrie.  A nice along the beach, and through the woods, to the little cafe we did go.  It was a nice morning with Katie and Gary.  We stopped in at a few locations along the way, getting shots here and there, and I got a tour of Barrie!  While it was only a few hours, we got some good shots, and here are a few of my favs...

Lauren & Dan - Engagement

A great way to start off the 2015 wedding season: a trip to Center Island for engagement shots!  We were able to make this a family day, and Christine and Nash came with us to the island.  It was a beautiful day, perfect for shooting under the trees at Centerville.  It was also great to have a few hours to get to know Lauren and Dan before their upcoming wedding in June.  A great couple, super easy to get along with, which always makes working much easier.  Here are a few of my favs from the day...
