Weddings & Couples

Tammy & Truman

Tammy and Truman came out to Toronto for their very secret wedding, all the way from Newfoundland.  So, considering I was only 1 of a few people that knew it was happening, I was happy to share the day with them.  We got together for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon, had a nice quiet ceremony in their hotel room, and then did a little walk around downtown for some shots around the city.

The shots are gorgeous. You made the day very enjoyable and relaxing, and we were pleased with the whole experience.

It's always nice to work with relaxed people, and it was a nice change of pace to get to focus all my attention on the couple, rather than have a whole wedding party and 150 guests to worry about as well.   It was definitely a nice afternoon spent with them.  Here are a few shots from the day...

Matt & James

As I probably mentioned back when I posted Matt & James' engagement shots, they came to me by way of my wife, Christine.  Matt was a client at her salon, and when it came up that he was engaged, she recommended me, and here we are!

Aaron was a great photographer. He was organized, creative, and patient. Aaron was on time, and kept to plans that we had outlined together. The wedding day went so smoothly, and we thank him for gorgeous memories he collected for us.
— Matt & James

I was only with Matt and James for a few hours on the day of the wedding, but it was enough time to get some nice shots in and around the Millcroft Spa.  Even though this winter hasn't been much of one, like last year's wedding in Banff, the night before we got just enough snow to cover the ground, thankfully.  So, while it was a short job to start 2016, I was happy to shoot for them, and I'm glad to have had the chance to work with them on their day.

Matt & James - Engagement

Matt and James came my way through my wife's Salon.  Matt had seen her for his haircuts a while back and it came up that he was engaged.  She put us in touch with each other and here we are!   We got together for a quick walk around the neighborhood on a pretty cold day, less than 24hrs after I had chipped a molar on a granola bar.  So, ever breath in gave me a nice dose of sensitive tooth pain in the back of my mouth.  We warmed up at the end at the Indie Ale House on Dundas (thanks for letting me in with my camera Indie Ale House!).  While I was hoping the weather kept it together, it did snow briefly and ended up looking great.  After reviewing the shots, I wished it had snowed more!  But, I think I got some nice shots for them, and was happy to shoot!   Stay tuned for the wedding in February.

Melissa & Dan -Engagement

Melissa has been a family friend since I was a baby.  Her parents and mine were friends, so we were always at their house, or they were at ours, and my sister and I would play with her and her sister.  Here we are, all these years later, and now shes getting married.... makes me feel old!  Also, another coincidence, Dan told me he remembers seeing my old band play years ago, before he even knew Melissa.  So, its all one big circle.

This was another nice fall shoot over at Ball's Falls.  It was great that she was up for walking out over the rocks and into the streams (with a little coaxing from Dan) to get the shots we were after.  It was cold, and it did snow for about 2 minutes, but all in all, it was a good time.  Here are some shots...
