Earlier this week, we were watching my dad for a few days while my sister was away. We decided to take him to this open-farm being put on by my friend Jen Howe and her husband Ben. They have a large farm in Ancaster with hundreds of cows, and I assume alot of milk as well! It was pretty cold, but it was an interesting little trip that my dad enjoyed. Here are a few pics of the farm...
Goodbye 2013
Well, the 2013 photo year is at an end. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone I worked with this passed year, and I'm looking forward to the 2014. With a baby on the way in March, my family will be growing, and I hope to keep my business growing as well to support. So thanks to those who support me in what I do! I think the pages of this years blog reflect that its been a good year indeed!
Happy New Year everyone!
Frozen Trees
I survived the ice storm of the decade! While I was outside with taking the dog for a pee, contemplating my good fortune, I decided to snap a few shots of everything caked in ice. It had a neat look... glowing around the edges. Very fresnel (look it up!).
Janey 2
This shot was part of the same series we did for the original shoot with Janey, a few posts down. Of the few she chose as keepers, I only ended up working on 1 (the one posted earlier), and this one was put on hold. Then she was told she was getting a spread in a magazine and wanted to use this shot as well, so I scrambled to get it done in time for the submission. I think I like this one better than the original. Just something about it seems more crisp, or right, or good, or great?! .... I like it.
