Lauren & Dan

While my wedding in Banff back in February was technically the first wedding of 2015, Lauren and Dan's wedding a few weeks ago was the first of the wedding season this summer.   It was a very rainy day, and while that's not an ideal way to start off the season, I always love getting some shots out in the rain as everything starts to shine and have some great contrast.

The journey with Aaron, through our engagement, wedding and baby shots was a breeze. It was an easygoing, relaxed environment, where Dan and I could just be ourselves and enjoy the moment. Aaron has a very intuitive eye and is able to capture a moment without being overly instructive and in your face. The great thing about working with Aaron is that you never feel rushed or like he has somewhere else to be. He is totally focused on the session, and his goal is to get the best shots possible. We enjoyed working with Aaron and would recommend him to anyone looking for some great photos for their special occasions!

So not only was it the first summer wedding, but it was also my first time observing and shooting a Jewish ceremony.  I'm not usually one to comment on ceremonies, but I remember this one seemed particularly heartfelt; in its words and its traditions.  While the day just seemed to fly by, we definitely had time to stop at a few nice places around the Eaton Chelsea for some nice shots.  Cap off the day with one of the craziest dances I've ever seen, and it was a memorable day for sure.  Here are some of my favorites...

Sebastian's First Birthday

I wish I had had birthdays like this when I was a kid.  Well, actually I probably wouldn't have appreciated my own personal Ice Cream AND Bbq truck, on site, all to myself (... and guests... I guess).  This was a fun afternoon at Camp Marydale, which was a place I remember from my childhood as it was one of the places we frequently went with school for fieldtrips.  It's changed alot from the little I remember, but it's definitely looking like a great place these days!  I was happy to be able to shoot for Monika, John, and their kids as they celebrated their newest's first birthday.  Having just had Nash's first birthday party a few months ago, I cant imagine trying to organize an event like this with 3 other kids as well!  But, my time is coming... soon enough.  They did a great job, and while he's too young to remember now, hopefully when he's older, Sebastian will be able to look back at these shots to see the great day his parents put together for him.  Here are a few of my favs...

Katie & Gary - Engagement

A quick engagement session one morning in Barrie.  A nice along the beach, and through the woods, to the little cafe we did go.  It was a nice morning with Katie and Gary.  We stopped in at a few locations along the way, getting shots here and there, and I got a tour of Barrie!  While it was only a few hours, we got some good shots, and here are a few of my favs...

Summer Sale!

Time for my first (annual?) summer sale!  I'm happy to offer 10% off any service that is booked during the summer.  The sale is not limited to events during the summer, just booked during the next 3 months.  While the sale is even applicable to weddings, it is only applicable to complete package weddings as outlined on the pricing page.  So, if there is anything you need photography wise, now is the time to book!
