Michele & Dan - Wedding

While this was my only wedding of the 2019 season, I’m glad it was with Michele and Dan. Unfortunately, I injured myself back in the spring, and it kept me off my feet for almost 6 months. I was on the fence about this wedding in the weeks leading up to it, not knowing if I would be up for the task with all the running around and 8 hours of being on me feet. Fortunately, my good friend and old shooting partner Ryan Edwardson stepped out of wedding photo retirement to back me up and make sure nothing was missed.

We were welcomed into the family-run Alliston Bed and Breakfast; a great little BnB that you should check out if you need a getaway that’s still close to home. The location was beautiful and the owners very welcoming.

While we were only there for 6hrs, it was a hard day for me to get through, but I was happy with how everything turned out. Here are a few of my favorites…

Michele & Dan - Engagement

It was a pleasure to shoot with Michele and Dan recently, another great, down to earth couple. Despite rain, we soldiered on and had a nice walk down Dundas St, and through Trinity Bellwoods park. While I do always enjoy shooting rainy day photos, it was a treat to be able to shoot inside Dan’s barber shop, Nite Owl. I don’t always get time to set up a few lights and shoot in such an interesting location, so I was greatful for the opportunity! Here are a few of my favorites from our little walk together…

Melissa & Pat

The final wedding of 2018. It was nice to spend it with Melissa and Patrick on this beautiful Saturday. We had great weather, and great locations to shoot at. But, at the request of the couple who would like to keep their wedding private, I will keep this short and only share a select few of my favorite shots from the day which they have consented to me posting (thanks guys!).

Nicole & Bruce

It was great to get back together with Nicole and Bruce after shooting their engagement shots a few months ago.  Even on the big day, they were both still very relaxed, smiling, and enjoying the whole thing, despite the small bumps in the road that creep up on every wedding day.

Going through the album Aaron made for us, was like reliving our wedding day. Every emotion, every moment and all the excitement, is perfectly captured. So much so that I was crying the whole way through! Aaron somehow manages to always be in the right spot at the right moment and will go above and beyond to get the shot he wants. He has an amazing talent and we could not be happier with our wedding photos!

Overall, we lucked out with great weather for late July; sunny and warm enough, but still plenty of clouds so no one was squinting with sun in their face (such things are important when you're a photographer!).  It was also great for me to be able to shoot in 2 new Toronto locations: the historic Metropolitan United Church, and the grounds surrounding Osgoode Hall.  As always, these days fly by, and before you know it, the dancing is winding down and the night comes to an end.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day...
